Wednesday, February 8, 2023 - 12:00pm to 1:00pm
Presenters: Alison Langmead and Christopher J. Nygren
202 Frick Fine Arts Building
Please join us in a conversation about, and hands-on playtime with, computational image generation technologies such as DALL-E 2, Midjourney, and Stable Diffusion–all of which output lively, synthesized digital images from text-based, user-provided prompts. Alison and Chris will begin by presenting some of the findings from a workshop they convened on this topic here at Pitt this past December 2022 with a number of art history colleagues from around the country, and then time will be given to allowing the audience to interact with these technologies and see how they work and what they can do. Please bring a laptop if you have one!
