Cataloguing the UAG: the website, the database and online exhibitions
Department History of Art and Architecture
The University Art Gallery launched its first official website in June 2016. This website allows to post information about current, past and upcoming exhibitions, and offers an online catalogue of its permanent collections. Another exciting feature allows for the possibility to create online exhibitions from two different templates: as a slideshow and as a thematic gallery.
This session will offer a look into the new back-end system that allows the UAG staff to inventory and document the collections, the works on campus and the loans. Student assistants will offer their experience on working with the database and organizing two new online exhibitions: Data (after)Lives and Exposure: Black Voices in the Arts, from past gallery exhibitions.
