Xiao Lu is one of the most prominent artists in contemporary Chinese art. Xiao explained her personal story in her newly published book, Dialogue, by Hong Kong University Press (2010). It is a story about contemporary Chinese history in many aspects, including Xiao Lu’s personal life, the background of her revolutionary family, a feminist avant-garde rebellion, as well as Chinese contemporary political history of the 1980s.
