The History of Art and Architecture Department wishes to congratulate the winners of the 2017 Friends of Frick Fine Arts Undergraduate Writing Award
Lydia Andeskie won the award for the independent research category, for her paper “Rhetoric and Spectacle: What Historical Instances of Iconoclasm Can Tell Us About the Islamic State,” which was written under the direction of Gretchen Bender.
Waylon Richmond won the award for the research category, for his paper “Three Lives of a Pueblo Village,” which was written under the direction of Melissa Eppihimer.
Caroline Fazzini won the award for the research category, for her paper “Shifting Styles: The Evolution of Jenny Saville’s Contemplation of the Past,” which was written under the direction of Melissa Eppihimer.
