Steve Lyons, FRQSC Postdoctoral Fellow at HAA and the Humanities Center since 2018, will begin a two-year postdoctoral fellowship at the Center for Place, Culture and Politics at CUNY Graduate Center in September 2020, with funding from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada. His project, “Museum Activism and Climate Crisis” will expand on his ongoing work with Not An Alternative, a collective working at the intersection of art, activism, and theory, and will be developed under the supervision of Dr. Ashley Dawson, author of Extreme Cities (2017), Extinction: A Radical History (2016), and other books.
