New grad student Hossein was awarded second place at the 12th Farabi International Award in the category of young scholars (under 35) in Arts and Aesthetic Studies. This award recognizes his book The Great Mosque of Varamin: The Process of Formation and Evolution, published in 2019 in Persian, for its excellence and contribution to the field.
The Farabi International Award is held annually by the Iranian Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology to honor researchers and institutions who have made outstanding contributions to promote Iran’s culture and history. Hossein was among 37 domestic and international winners who were honored on July 18, 2021. Read more about the event here.
