Professor Michelle McCoy co-edits Water Moon Reflections: Essays in Honor of Patricia Berger.
Written by students of Patricia Berger (Professor Emerita of Chinese Art, University of California, Berkeley), the ten essays in this volume span the territorial extent of East and Inner Asia over roughly two millennia. Highlighting themes that run through Berger's scholarship, topics include art's relationship to political power and collective memory, the cultural and material fluency of Qing dynasty (1644–1912) art, and multiplicity and self-fashioning through portraiture and dance.
