Please join us for a book launch event to celebrate the release of two recent publications: the Socio-Technical Sustainability Roadmap Facilitator's Manual--produced by the Visual Media Workshop--and the Civic Switchboard Guide--produced in affiliation between SCI and ULS. This event is supported by the Bernadette Callery Lecture Series and the Sara Fine Institute. To view event details, visit Pitt’s Events Calendar.
The Socio-Technical Sustainability Roadmap Facilitator's Manual is a resource designed to guide users through the process of facilitating workshops on sustainability planning for digital projects. This manual builds upon the curriculum of the Socio-Technical Sustainability Roadmap (https://sustainingdh.net) and guides readers through the process of facilitating Roadmap workshops within their own communities. This work has been funded by the National Endowment for the Humanities.
The Civic Switchboard Guide (https://civic-switchboard.gitbook.io/guide) is a a living document designed to help libraries become more engaged in their local civic data ecosystems. This work is the product of the Institute for Museum and Library Services funded project Civic Switchboard: Connecting Libraries and Community
Information Networks.
Both of these resources are freely available online as open access publications, but a limited number of printed copies will be available at this launch event. Members of both the Socio-Technical Sustainability Roadmap and Civic Switchboard project teams will be present to discuss their work. Light refreshments will be served.
