Speaker: Barbara McCloskey, Professor and Director of Graduate Studies, HAA

Barbara McCloskey’s presentation traces an underexplored network of antiracist and antifascist artists and intellectuals that operated between Germany and the United States in the 1920s and 1930s. Her talk will consider their shared confrontations with and divergent responses to the threat of white supremacy in their respective countries.
