On January 26, 2023 professor Jennifer Josten moderated a discussion with Ignacia Bizkupovic, Head of Community Engagement in the Public Programs Area of the Museo de la Solidaridad Salvador Allende in Santiago, Chile. The MSSA's origins date to 1971, with an effort to create a museum for the people of Chile. The project was reorganized in 1975 from abroad as the Museo Internacional de la Resistencia Salvador Allenda, with the donation of new artworks to denounce the atrocities committed by the civic-military dictatorship, as a gesture of resistance. The conversation between Josten and Bizkupovic will center on the MSSA's community engagement efforts. To learn more about the event, visit the Carnegie Museum of Art's website.
