On Monday, April 10, Deirdre Smith presented “Nonhuman Artists? Multidisciplinary and Multispecies Accounts on the Origin of Art,” the Carnegie Museum of Natural History’s R.W. Moriarty Science Seminar series. Smith’s presentation will examine nonhuman primate painting and drawing and writing on bowerbirds that claims bowermaking is an artform.
