Congratulations to History of Art and Architecture majors Tyler Shine, Julia Warren, Siqiao Lu, Sasha Steinberg, Kristen Whitlinger, and Kelsey Henke, recipients of Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences Spring Undergraduate Research Awards:
Tyler Shine and Julia Warren were awarded New York City Field Studies fellowships for Spring Break 2013 from the Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences. Both will use this opportunity to advance their honors thesis research.
Siqiao Lu, Tyler Shine, Sascha Steinberg, and Kristen Whitlinger each were appointed to an assistant curatorship position with Nicholas Chambers of the Andy Warhol Museum for the Spring of 2013. They will be assisting him with an exhibition of recent work from local artists which will be held at Point Park University, opening in March. For this endeavor, they won a Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences Spring Undergraduate Research Award.
Kelsey Henke was awarded a Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences Spring Undergraduate Research Award to conduct research for her honors thesis on gender incongruities in “hipster” visual culture which is being supervised by Robert Bailey.
