Biography
Amelia studies Neoclassical architecture, monuments, and public art. Their research interests focus on evolving meanings and contested uses of Neoclassicism over the longue durée and in contemporary life, encompassing questions about built heritage, identity, and social memory. Using queer, feminist, and disability theory, Amelia’s research interrogates supremacist structures while seeking to uncover and reinsert the stories of marginalized communities.
