Angelina Medina studies contemporary Latinx art, with a specialization in Nuyorican art. She is interested in photography and issues of gender and representation. She co-curated Rose Salane: Periphery in Red, Yellow, Blue (2025) and Magali Lara: Interior Landscapes (2024) at the Institute of Fine Arts, New York University. She graduated with a B.A. in Art History & Arts Administration and Spanish & French Language Studies from Macaulay Honors College and earned an M.A. in the History of Art and Archaeology at the Institute of Fine Arts, New York University. During this time, she worked as a Gallery Manager at Hutchinson Modern & Contemporary, collaborating closely with Latin American, Caribbean, and Latinx artists. She has held internships at the Acadian Museum of the University of Moncton, the Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum, the International Studio & Curatorial Program (ISCP), the Jewish Museum, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian.
